Caro’s exhibition at Chatsworth House:
Thursday 12 April: Sky arts 2 at 6.30pm ” Tim Marlow on Anthony Caro at Chatsworth.
Presenter, Tim Marlow, visits Chatsworth House, where in its gardens there is a retrospective exhibition of the original art of Sir Anthony Caro, pioneering sculptor. The exhibition covers four decades of Caro’s abstract steel sculptures. The exhibition runs from until 1 July 2012. Anthony Caro was born in 1924, studied sculpture at the Royal Academy Schools in London and worked as an assistant to Henry Moore. Caro has played a major role in the development of 20th century sculpture in the UK. His works are large, abstract and often brightly painted.
