Landscape art of Mo Enright
Mo Enright could not have asked for a more inspirational location for his childhood than National Park in the beautiful area of the Hambleton Hills in North Yorkshire. He now works out of a studio Warwickshire. A lover of oil as a medium, Mo will also work with other materials when appropriate.
His painting ‘Five’ in indicative of his wonderful study titled “Birch Series” and shows his intuitive comprehension of nature:
Mo has also created a breathtaking series titled “Land, Sea and Sky”. Clearly inspired by the landscape of England, the paintings each have their own stunning visualization of the beauty of landscapes. ‘Crag’ is just one of this series:
‘Vantage II’ is another from the “Land, Sea and Sky” series and it demonstrates Mo’s love of mixing idealism with romanticism to bring a beautiful landscape to life:
Mo also has an environmental protest series of oil paintings titled “Legacy” which clearly demonstrate his frustration with the clearance cutting of forests:
‘Twenty-two’ is one of numerous images showing the destruction of forests and how it will affect the lives of future generations.
2008 was a banner year as he held 9 shows around the United Kingdom. In 2009, he particpated in 13 shows with most in England as well as a show in Amsterdam. He is continuing the frenetic pace for 2010 where he has 9 shows scheduled including one in Brussels.
In his own words: “The landscape/elements and childhood memories feature strongly as a point of reference for my work. I endeavor to recapture the emotional response of a particular place or experience…My work is primarily concerned with creating a sense of place and the desire to depict the spirit of a particular instant before it is gone…My most recent work is addressing ‘The Carbon Footprint’ and the ‘Legacy’ we are leaving.”
